Everyone’s idea of good times.
Life at Gladden Farms is as active or as relaxed as you want it to be. Jog or bike for miles on beautifully landscaped paseos. Take the kids to one of twelve playgrounds. Grab a few friends for an impromptu BBQ in the park followed by a pickup basketball or softball game. Or join your neighbors at the pole barn for a cookout under the stars.
Gladden Farms’ location takes full advantage of Marana’s exceptional recreation facilities. Our network of paseos connects with the Marana Heritage River Park, where a paved path follows the winding Santa Cruz river. A sparkling pool and dog park are just around the corner. The Town’s progressive parks and recreation department offers a wide variety of activities and events, giving you and your family plenty of ways to stay active and involved.
Our community association always has something special coming up: themed events and seasonal festivals, block parties and family outings. The Easter Bunny makes an annual appearance at our huge Bunnies & Baskets event, and when Santa comes to visit in December he brings real snow. Volunteers from the neighborhood are always welcome, and there are opportunities to fit anyone’s interests and schedule.
True to our name, you’ll find a real working farm in Gladden Farms, too. The Marana Heritage Farm hosts a variety of activities and projects. A huge demonstration garden is in place where you can learn first-hand about suburban farming, irrigation best practices and the agricultural history of Marana. The park also features community garden plots available for rent for a nominal fee. Residents and their families can spend time outdoors, and benefit from eating healthier diets, with fresh produce grown at the farm. Each fall the Heritage Farm is transformed to become the perfect venue for Marana’s Annual Cotton Festival. You can walk or bike over to enjoy live music, rodeo demonstrations, vendors and other fun activities for the whole family.
